Why Popcorn?

We love the classic popcorn brainstorming technique to generate ideas, so we’ve applied that to creating events! Feel free to toss out some ideas to us – we’re open to creating meetups and networking opportunities or sponsoring unique events that showcase the culinary arts.

These events help position Indianapolis as a destination for young professionals, creatives and allied businesses by drawing on the culinary arts and creating a community for lovers of food, art and entertainment to come together.

Harder Bruch hosts, from left, Thaddaeus McKee and Dyke Michaels interview chefs Jonathan Brooks, center, and Esteban Rosas at a Popcorn young professionals event at Milktooth.

Our Popcorn kick-off event in August 2022 brought together young professionals and sparked great conversations about food and community.

With the help of Popcorn honorary co-chairs Heather Brogdan and Gwen Marcantonio, we spotlight both established and up-and-coming chefs and restaurants to connect them to a new community, drive awareness and expand their reach.

We welcome input and ideas from local food fans of all ages. Drop us a line at info@culinarycrossroads.org.
