Evansville – Haynie’s Corner Arts District Association hosts this amateur hot dog eating contest. Five-minute contest; last year’s winner downed 10 dogs (vegan dogs available upon request).

Bloomington – This premier craft beer festival returns to Bloomington at Fowler Pumpkin Patch farm; enjoy unlimited samples from 20 Indiana craft breweries. Food trucks, live music; VIP tickets available.

Oldenburg – German music, dancing, games, dachshund races and lots of food, including sausages and sauerkraut, schnitzel and world-famous sauerkraut balls; bier garten with German-style beers and wine.

French Lick – Ride aboard the French Lick Scenic Railway Bourbon Tasting Train and sip some of the finest bourbons paired with food samples on this adult-only ride. 21+

This Iron Chef-type event features three local chefs competing on stage at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater with a secret ingredient to create winning dishes for the judges.

Versailles – Stop by the many Legionfest grills at this free fest for a taste of ribs, sausage, brisket, chicken, chicken wings, fried green tomatoes and more; on Water Street next to American Legion.

Jasper – This German-inspired street festival features food, live entertainment on three downtown stages, polka bands, games, contests, carnival rides and more.

Owensville – Celebrating the watermelon harvest with a hometown parade, food, games, free daily entertainment, carnival rides, craft vendors, parade, 5K run and watermelon-eating contest.

Evansville – 7 Mile Lounge hosts this evening event featuring music, outdoor games, food trucks, mimosas and more.

Tell City – Since 1958, Tell City has celebrated its Swiss heritage with food, games, music, athletic contests and more.

Madison – The 21st annual fest celebrates barbecue and blues with a KCBS-sanctioned BBQ competition, a backyard-style amateur contest and a “Kidz-Q” competition plus lots of live music.

Bloomington – Celebrate local food and the hardworking people who grow and prepare it; dinner will be served family style with food by Chef Corbin Morwick from One World Catering.
