Terre Haute collaborative chef dinner a success

by | Updates

Three of Central Indiana’s top chefs came together for a fabulous collaborative dinner Wednesday evening at the historic Ohio Building in Terre Haute.

Jeff Ford of J. Ford’s Black Angus, George Azar of The Saratoga restaurant and Kris Kraut of Federal Coffee + Fine Foods provided the culinary talent for the dinner, and their fans came out in force. Along with representatives of Ivy Tech Community College’s Terre Haute campus and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, local food fans gathered to show support for the chefs and the local food scene.

“We’re so honored to bring together these talented culinary ambassadors along with all the folks who recognize how much restaurants and the local food community contribute to our quality of life,” said Culinary Crossroads founder and director Larry Dickerson. “The dinner was tremendous, and it’s no surprise, really, since this is, after all, the culinary crossroads of America.”

This event was the fifth On the Road dinner that Culinary Crossroads has hosted, events that shine a spotlight on the people, products and places of the state’s food community. Previous On the Road dinners have been held in Fort Wayne, Evansville and the New Albany area, with additional dinners planned for Lafayette, Elkhart and other cities around the state.
