Shoals – The 38th annual festival features a catfish cooking contest, pie contest, fishing contest, sport competitions, parade and fireworks. Food vendors include catfish, ham and beans, BBQ, brats and more.

Wild Edibles & Ethnobotany of Northwest Indiana

Valparaiso – Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest hosts this fun and practical workshop that covers local Native American history and common local plants that have been used for food; includes short walking tour.

Fowler Brew Fest

Bloomington – This premier craft beer festival returns to Bloomington at Fowler Pumpkin Patch farm; enjoy unlimited samples from 20 Indiana craft breweries. Food trucks, live music; VIP tickets available.

Indianapolis – Tea’s Me Café hosts its Daily Cup of Tea Club monthly tasting for two. Non-members can still sign up and enjoy three teas.

Farm to Table: Pickling 101

Fortville – Learn the art of easy, countertop pickling in this one-hour class at Fishers AgriPark. Each participant will be given cucumber, pickling spices and a mason jar to make their own batch of pickles. Registration required.

St. Joe Pickle Festival

St. Joe – The 27th annual pickle fest features plenty of food including a fish dinner, pancake and sausage breakfast, BBQ, fried pickles, pickle ice cream and more, plus music, craft, pickle-eating contest and pickle factory tours.

Greek Fest 2023

Schererville – St. George Greek Orthodox Church hosts Greek Fest featuring music, tours, dancing and food, including lamb, shish kabobs, gyros, Greek chicken, spanakopita, saganaki and loukoumades; drive-through available.

Oldenburg Freudenfest

Oldenburg – German music, dancing, games, dachshund races and lots of food, including sausages and sauerkraut, schnitzel and world-famous sauerkraut balls; bier garten with German-style beers and wine.
